Malik Kamran Azam Khan Rajar is the Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Human Rights, Government of Pakistan. He is the driving force behind the business and human rights initiative in Pakistan and has extensively worked on a wide range of human rights issues, forming innovative ways to tackle them in Pakistan. In addition to leading the process of developing a National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights in Pakistan, and serving as the focal person for the EU Project for Promotion of Human Rights in Pakistan, Mr. Rajar has also extensively worked towards the establishment of a digital Human Rights Information Management System (HRIMS) in Pakistan. The HRIMS is a government driven initiative to strengthen processes for the collection, coordination, sharing and analysis of information on human rights in Pakistan. Mr. Rajar has led the process to tailor the system to provincial specificities and contexts. Mr. Rajar also launched the first ever international human rights conference to take place in Pakistan in 2018 which was attended by a wide range of technical experts and international dignitaries.

Mr. Rajar holds an LLB Degree from the University of Punjab and an LLM (Tax) Degree from the University of London.
