Maysa Zorob manages the Corporate Legal Accountability Program at the Business & Human Rights Resources Centre in New York. She specializes in remedy for victims of corporate human rights abuse and legal liability of companies for adverse human rights impacts. For more than a decade, Maysa has led diverse human rights and social justice initiatives across the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and the U.S.
Prior to joining the Resource Centre, Maysa led the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Fellowship Programs at PILnet, the Global Network for Public Interest Law in New York and managed the Justice Program at Euro-Med Rights – a coalition of over 80 human rights NGOs - in Brussels Belgium. In her previous work in Palestine, Maysa directed the EU advocacy efforts of leading Palestinian human rights NGO Al-Haq, and headed the Law & Society Unit at Bir Zeit University’s Institute of law, working on the role of legal reform in Palestinian state-building and de-colonization.
Maysa holds an LL.M. in European and International Law and an LL.B. in German Law from the University of Hamburg, Germany. A national of Germany and Palestine, Maysa is fluent in Arabic, French, German, and English.
