Jochen Anthierens is currently the Deputy Director of the Human Rights Department of the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs of Belgium. He previously served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Belgium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2013-2017) and as First Secretary at the Embassy of Belgium in New Delhi, India (2009-2013). Before joining the Foreign Service, Jochen Anthierens was a practicing lawyer, registered at the bar. He holds a Master of Laws of the University of Leuven and a Master of Advanced Studies (DEA) in European law of the University Aix-Marseille.
